Zen Innovate Pte. Ltd., a fully owned subsidiary of Zensung Singapore Pte. Ltd.,(“The Company/ Zensung / We / Us / Parrot / App”) is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your (“User’s”) personal information and location information. Your privacy is important to us and maintaining your trust is paramount.
1. Information collected by the Parrot App
1.1 Personal Information
We collect information that you voluntarily give us via the sign-on process or other direct contact from you. During the registration process the App collects Mobile Number, Email ID, Name, Date of Birth, Gender, preferred language and Vehicle details. This information could be used to arrive at drivers score or as a part of policy holder details during insurance policy purchase for your vehicle. We also maintain records that include, but not limited to, insurance policy coverages, premiums and payment history, claims history, driving records.
The App gathers and combines data from the mobile device for the purpose of analysis and risk evaluation and to come up with a drivers score, as well as for premium/rate calculation.
This data is stored on a secure server under encryption, and any sensitive information submitted to or by us is sent securely using encryption. Your information is always protected both online and offline.
By buying a policy through us, you give us your consent to contact you with communications relating to your policy and our services.
We may contact you via email, regular mail, or via push notifications in the App regarding promotions to tell you about specials, new products or services or discounts or rebates.
We collect information that you voluntarily give us via the sign-up process or other direct contact from you. You acknowledge that You have the authority to complete and submit the policy application to us via the Mobile App and /or website. You declare and warrant that:
1. All the facts known or ought to be known in respect of the risk proposed are fully and faithfully disclosed in the insurance application.
2. You understand that any inaccurate, incomplete or false information given or any omission of information required, may render the policy application invalid.
3. You agree to accept the policy subject its to the terms and conditions.
1.2 Location Information
We collect GPS location data in foreground and/or in background, only when the trip is on. The start and stop control is given to the User. The GPS location information is used to find the speed of the user and the direction of the trip. The location data is transmitted to server for processing under encryption. The location data which is used to plot the user trip is available to the User (and their organisation if it is offered as part of a fleet management offering). The User has the control to delete the trip (excluding fleet management offering) on the Parrot app, under the Trips section.
We save certain data that you generate and transmit by using app purely for the purpose of managing or viewing through app. Although we perform regular routine backups of data, you are solely responsible for all data that you transmit or that relates to any activity you have undertaken using the app. You agree that we shall have no liability to you for any loss or corruption of any such data, and you hereby waive any right of action against us arising from any such loss or corruption of such data.
1.3 Information created while using App
We collect some information related to the use of Parrot app through various technologies. This includes, but is not limited to, sensor data (only when the trip is on), additional vehicle details if the User wants to include apart from the vehicle details taken during registration, claims submitted for the vehicle, Driving Score calculated for each trip, rewards earned for good driving during each quarter, transaction history of rewards redemption.
The App and/or our business partners gather information, which may include all or any of the following like your operating system, mobile device identification and/or your phone carrier and interactions with other features within the mobile device while the App is installed.
Any additional information collected is accessible to the User under their Parrot App login. We also maintain some records of the Users who contact us for support. These records are used for the sole purpose of responding to such queries and other related activities. However, we do not provide this information to any third party without user’s permission, or utilize the same for any purposes not set out hereunder.
We store this information in an encrypted environment.
1.4 Information collected from Third Parties
We use Google and Here Maps APIs to identify harsh events like speeding, harsh braking, harsh acceleration and cornering in every driving trip undertaken by the user.
2. How we use the information collected
We may use, store and process the information provided by you to
(1) provide, understand, improve and develop the App Services,
(2) create and maintain a trusted and safe environment on Parrot app (such as complying with our legal obligations and compliance with our policies) and
(3) provide, personalise, measure and improve our products & services.
The information collected through the Parrot App, allows us to collect statistics about our app usage and effectiveness, personalise your experience and improve our interactions with the Users and also assist to enhance and expand the scope of the App Services. The following paragraphs describe in more detail how we use your personal information.
2.1 Providing, understanding & improving App Services
Any information provided by a User while using Parrot App will be used solely for creating and updating User Account and improving User driving behaviour with the help of Trip Analysis.
We may use the information collected to perform internal operations necessary to provide our services, including to troubleshoot software bugs and operational problems, to conduct data analysis, testing and research and to monitor and analyse usage and activity trends. We process this personal information for these purposes given our legitimate interest in improving the App Services. We may also contact the User as part of our customer satisfaction surveys or for market research purposes.
2.2 Safety, security and resolution of issues
We may use the information to create and maintain a safe environment and use the same to detect and prevent fraud, spam, abuse, security incidents and other harmful activity.
We use the information we collect to assist the User when the User contacts our customer support services to investigate & resolve User queries and to monitor and improve our customer support responses. Certain operations in the Parrot App may require us to call the User. Please be aware that it is our general practice to monitor and, in some cases, record such interactions for staff training or quality assurance purposes or to retain evidence of a particular interaction.
We intend to protect User’s personal information and to maintain its accuracy as confirmed by the User. The Company implements reasonable physical, administrative, and technical safeguards to help in protecting Users’ personal information from unauthorised access, use, and disclosure. We encrypt all sensitive personal information while storing it with us.
We blend security at multiple steps within our products with state-of-the-art technology to ensure our systems maintain strong security measures. The overall data and privacy security design allows us defend our systems ranging from low hanging issue up to sophisticated attacks.
We are committed to protecting your data. If you are a security enthusiast or a researcher and you have found a possible security vulnerability on Parrot app, we encourage Users to report the issue to us responsibly. Users are encouraged to submit a bug report to us at email@example.com with detailed steps required to reduce the vulnerability. We are committed to putting the best of our efforts to investigate and fix the legitimate issues in a reasonable time frame, meanwhile, requesting you not to publicly disclose it.
2.3 Sharing & disclosure of data with Third Parties
We do not disclose any personal information or location information with anyone. In some cases, when we believe that such disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, or the rights of others, or to comply with a judicial proceeding, accident investigation, claims, litigation, court order, or legal process served on us, we share such information pursuant to a lawful request from law enforcement agencies. If required under law or any regulation we may provide certain information to insurance regulators to support insurance related filings.
Subject to explicit and prior consent from a User, we may use information created by User’s use of our App for marketing purposes. This consent is purely voluntary and the User may at any time choose not to receive marketing materials from us by following the unsubscribe instructions included in each e-mail you may receive, by indicating so when we call you, or by contacting us directly. Further, if you want to remove your contact information from all our lists and newsletters, please click on the unsubscribe button on the emails or send an email request to firstname.lastname@example.org.
For the sake of clarity, we does not sell or lease your information to any third-party service provider.
Some of our campaigns/programmes/related events may be co-branded, that is sponsored by both, the third party or parties, and us. If the User signs up for such campaigns/programmes/related events, please note that the User information may also be collected and shared with such third parties. We urge the Users to familiarise themselves with the privacy policies of the third parties to gain an understanding of the manner in which they will handle information about the Users.
We may deliver third party online advertisements on the app and we may advertise our activities and organisational goals on other websites/apps. We may collaborate with other website/app operators as well as network advertisers to do so. We request you to read and understand such concerned third party privacy policies to understand their practices relating to advertising, including what type of information they may collect about your internet usage. No personal information is shared with any third-party online advertiser or website or app as part of any such activity. We do not provide any information relating to your usage to such website operators or network advertisers.
As required, we may share your information with business partners who help to handle your claim, service your policy, prevent fraud.
We do not share information with any third parties except for insurance agent/agency broker or companies that perform services, such as marketing, credit/debit card processing, and communication services on our behalf, actuarial services or repair shops.
Our employees are prohibited from using or disclosing information for any purpose other than performing their work for Zensung.
3. Trip Deletion
We provide all our Users an option to delete details of a specific trip. When you delete trips or request to delete data, we delete user’s data, unless it must be retained due to legal or regulatory requirements, for purposes of safety, security, and fraud prevention, or because of an issue relating to the user’s account such as an an unresolved claim or dispute. We retain user data for as long as necessary for the purposes described.
However there may be delays between when you delete something and when copies are deleted from our active and backup systems.
We retain different categories of data for different periods of time depending on the type of data, the category of user to whom the data relates, and the purposes for which we collected the data.
We will usually keep your data for up to 7 years to ensure that any contractual disputes can be addressed.
In certain circumstances if a user is not able to delete trip details, the user also has an option to request for deletion by sending email on email@example.com.
4. Cookies or Caching
We use data collection devices such as “cookies” or “Cache”, etc. on certain parts of the App to help analyse the App Services, user interaction with the App, measure promotional effectiveness, and promote trust and safety. For the sake of clarity, “cookies” are small files placed on your device hard-drive/storage that assist us in providing the App Services as well as for efficient functioning of our website. Please be informed that Parrot offers certain features via the App that are only available through the use of a “cookie” or “Cache”.
Please note that some cookies on the website are managed by third parties, including, for example, advertising networks, features such as videos, maps and social media, and providers of external websites like web traffic analysis services. You should refer to such third parties’ own cookie and privacy policies for information about how they may use your information.
You can block cookies by activating the setting within your browser that allows you to refuse the setting of cookies. However some parts of website may not function properly or might not be accessible.
6. Privacy Questions and Access
Before we are able to provide the User with any information or correct any inaccuracies, we may ask the User to verify the identity and to provide other details to help us to respond to the User request. We will contact the User within a reasonable timeframe of User request.
We care about data privacy and security. Please be advised the app hosting and data storage is done in Singapore as per regulatory compliance. If you access the Parrot App from any other region in the world with laws or other requirements governing personal data collection, use, or disclosure that differ from applicable laws in Singapore, then through your use of the App, our website (www.joinparrot.com) or services, you are transferring your data to Singapore, and you expressly consent to have your data transferred to and processed in Singapore.
In the Parrot app, please go to the rewards section from the Home screen and choose either Shell fuel vouchers or Carbon Credits from Shell Nature-based solutions. Please familiarise yourself with the detailed terms and conditions of the respective redemption partners. Please select the number of P-Rewards you want to redeem and click “Redeem”. You need to redeem a minimum of 100 P-Rewards in one transaction. Your redemption request is processed within 2 working days.
